REACT Alliance warns Los Osos of offshore wind survey impacts; Equinor withdraws permit application

Icer said that following a call to action and more than 100 letters from the public to the California Coastal Commission, Equinor (Atlas Wind) withdrew its Coastal Development Permit application for the immediate site surveys and plans to resubmit. She invited residents to a REACT Alliance PowerPoint presentation June 10 at the South Bay Community Center and to a June 8 rally in Morro Bay on World Oceans Day.
The board accepted the public comment and noted the matter will proceed through the Coastal Commission’s review process in Morro Bay and later county hearings. No board action or formal response was taken; Icer encouraged continued public engagement.
