Lacey Township Committee approves routine resolutions, emergency bulkhead contract and vehicle purchases

The committee also approved a change order for the Lakeside Drive bulkhead replacement (an additional amount discussed in the meeting), rejected bids for a pole-barn public-works project because the single bid exceeded the budget, and authorized seasonal recreation hires and several appointments including an alternate board-of-health member and municipal court administrator (Christina Deay was appointed municipal court administrator). Motions on vehicle purchases awarded two police utility interceptors after staff located available units at local dealerships.
Votes were taken by roll call and, where noted, included individual abstentions. For example, the mayor abstained on the special-use permit for one car-club event due to his membership in the club; other votes recorded unanimous or near-unanimous support by the named committee members.
What’s next: The committee recorded approvals required to process budget insertions and procurements. No further committee action was required that night for the approved measures other than the usual contract execution and administrative follow-up.
