The La Grange Park Village Board approved several fiscal and procurement measures May 26 in unanimous votes.
Road bonds: Trustees approved an ordinance authorizing issuance of general obligation bonds not to exceed $5.1 million (Series 2026B) to fund street resurfacing and sidewalk repairs, with a 10‑year term and debt service to be paid from annual property tax levies. The board discussion referenced prior voter authorization to issue up to $10 million in bonds for road improvements.
MFT resolution: Trustees approved a resolution authorizing use of Illinois Department of Transportation Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds in the amount of $357,500 for general maintenance under the Illinois Highway Code.
Parking lot contract: After competitive bids, the board awarded the 2026 public works storage and parking lot improvement contract to Schroeder Ashefold Services, Inc. for the low type‑two bid of $426,160.15, and authorized expenditures not to exceed that amount; the village also noted a reimbursable DCEO grant for the project.
Vehicle sticker fees: Trustees approved an ordinance raising the annual vehicle sticker fee from $35 to $40 and the senior sticker from $15 to $17, an adjustment the village estimated would generate about $30,000 in additional revenue for FY 2027.
Roll calls for the recorded votes show unanimous yes votes by Trustees Lner, Shien, Caputo and President Dipio for these items. No board member opposed or abstained on the items recorded in the packet.
