Bedetti said the current draft reflects an estimated increase of $29 per household for a home assessed at $40,000 and described the rise as "the lowest in the last eight years and the third lowest in the last 15 years," thanking the board and the town controller for their work on the draft. He directed board members to review the package between now and the special meeting and said they may propose additions or cuts.
The supervisor told the board the tentative budget materials were being distributed to members that night so they could examine line items ahead of the preliminary-budget adoption process. No public comment on the budget was offered at this meeting.
