Milton council unanimously adopts consent agenda, opts into national opioid settlement

The Milton City Council unanimously approved its consent agenda at the May 18 meeting, adopting a slate of routine and administrative items that included opting into a national opioid settlement and authorizing several professional and construction agreements.

The clerk read consent items numbered 26‑143 through 26‑157. Among the items, agenda item 26‑144 authorizes the City of Milton to opt into a national opioid settlement reached with six regional distributors and dispenser defendants and grants authority for the mayor to sign requisite documents. Other items approved included a consulting agreement with Brenda Holly LLC for executive development services (26‑145); a change order and service agreement for the National Center for Safety Initiatives LLC for parks and recreation background screening services (26‑146); professional services agreements with Practical Design Partners LLC for GDOT project design services (26‑147 and 26‑148); a construction services agreement with Blank Construction Company Inc. for FY26 roadway reconstruction and resurfacing (26‑149); Columbia Engineering and Services Inc. task order change orders for right‑of‑way and land acquisition services (26‑150 and 26‑151); a construction services agreement with Hasbun Construction LLC for temporary gravel stabilization on State Route 9 (26‑152); an agreement with RM Concrete Specialists LLC for Hopewell Road roundabout improvements (26‑153); approval of a T‑SPLOST 3 project list (26‑154); traffic data collection services with National Data and Surveying Services (26‑155); an amendment for the Safe Streets and Roads for All federal grant agreement (26‑156); and a first amendment to a disbursement agreement with White Columns Gated Community Association related to Glenover Drive Lake Dam engineering and permitting (26‑157).

Councilmember Cranmer moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilmember Brian Dolan seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The consent items were adopted as read and the mayor was authorized to execute requisite documents where noted.
