Board members credited Tierney with leading the township to its first CAPRA accreditation in Pennsylvania, developing a strategic "play-for-all" plan, launching full programming at the new community center, and establishing recurring events including summer camps that sell out, a 5K color run, seasonal activities and an inaugural "Art in the Park" partnership. Members also cited capital work overseen during her tenure: trail construction and renovations to playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, pool management and ADA transition planning across township parks.
A board member said Tierney worked closely with volunteer groups and leagues to secure permits and support operations. Several members offered personal thanks for her mentorship and leadership during nearly nine years with the township.
No formal action on personnel policy or replacement was taken at the meeting. Board members invited patience during the staff transition and said staff would coordinate so programming and spring-season operations proceed as planned.
