Lincoln County approves six conditional use permits for temporary construction sites and helicopter yards

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners on May 26 adopted six resolutions authorizing temporary construction sites and associated helicopter yards on rural properties across the county.
The board read each application into the record and moved to adopt the resolutions, including Resolution 2026‑15 (Jeffrey and Amy Short) and a set of permits associated with Forbes Brothers/Timberline Construction (Resolutions 2026‑16, 2026‑17, 2026‑18 and 2026‑9). The board also approved Resolution 2026‑20 for a permit to Gary Trigo. Each motion received a second and passed on roll call.
Jason Scholes, Lincoln County Highway Superintendent, told commissioners that several of the permits will include road‑use agreements. “This one does have a condition of the Hall Road agreement with the county as do three of the others,” Scholes said, noting that one site did not require a road agreement and that final versions and maps were expected back from the applicant’s representatives.
Commissioners said they had added and reviewed conditions; one commissioner noted that the last permit included 11 delineated conditions. Planning staff and county legal assistance were acknowledged for preparing the resolutions.
