Hannibal board swears in members, elects officers and moves to closed session

The board also elected Stacy as vice president and Tasha Coleman as treasurer, each by motion, second and voice approval. Stacy was later named the district's MSBA delegate with Janelle Lee approved as alternate. Megan was confirmed as secretary to the board and Martha as alternate secretary.
The board moved to adjourn the organization portion of the meeting and convene its regular session. Later, with no patrons signed up for public comment, the board voted to adjourn the regular meeting and enter a closed session to discuss personnel matters, student records and other individually identifiable issues as allowed under Missouri Revised Statutes section 610.021 (paragraphs 1–6 and 13). The motion carried on a roll-call vote of 4–0.
No contested election results or outside nominations were recorded during the meeting; competitive items were handled by standard motion-and-second procedure.
