The Winslow Township Board of Education approved several routine items during its May 27 meeting, recording roll-call tallies for each motion.
A motion to approve the regular meeting minutes from May 13, 2026 was made by board member Mister Matthews and seconded by John Shaw. The roll call returned yes votes from Miss Bridal, Miss Glaude/Claude, Miss Martin, Miss Nieves, Miss Pitts and Mister Thomas; Mister Matthews and Mister Shaw abstained, and the motion carried.
The board then voted to approve the superintendent’s report (pages 3–8) and the business administrator/board secretary report (pages 9–25). Board member Mister Shaw noted a conditional abstention on two purchase-order items listed on page 9 (PO numbers 605171 and 605172) while otherwise voting yes; the business-administrator report motion carried.
Board members also approved the personnel report (pages 26–28) by roll call with all present members voting yes. No ordinances, appointments or contract awards requiring separate action were recorded during the open session portion of the meeting.
Motions were made on the floor by a board member identified in the transcript as Speaker 4 and seconded by other members during each vote; roll-call results were read aloud for transparency and recorded in the minutes.
The board’s approvals move routine administration forward ahead of summer operations and staffing work for the next school year.
