Authority reaffirms officers, adopts liens‑fees resolution and approves permits and billing adjustments

At its Feb. 6 meeting the authority unanimously retained its officers and professional vendors for another year, adopted Resolution 1‑25 allowing lien legal/filing fees, approved a one‑year grease‑trap servicing arrangement for Salute and Dante's, enacted a permit for Tommy's Carwash and adjusted a resident's sewer bill for a water leak.
The Municipal Authority of the Township of South Heidelberg unanimously reappointed its existing officers and retained its professional service providers during its Feb. 6 meeting.
On a motion by Mr. Eberhart and seconded by Mr. Pawling, the board voted to keep Jon H. Gerhart as Chairman, Thomas Schultz as Vice‑Chairman and Kevin Eberhart as Secretary/Treasurer. The board likewise voted to retain Kozloff Stoudt as municipal solicitor, Spotts, Stevens & McCoy as the authority engineer, Herbein & Company, Inc. as auditor/accountant, and Tompkins Community Bank as the municipal depository.
Solicitor Andrew George presented a Liens Resolution (Resolution 1‑25) that authorizes Kozloff Stoudt to charge legal fees and filing fees on sewer liens that are filed. The board unanimously accepted and signed Resolution 1‑25 on a motion by Thomas Schultz, seconded by Jon H. Gerhart.
Mr. George also reported that Salute has contracted Steven Symons of S&S Mechanical for a one‑year agreement to perform monthly grease‑trap cleaning and servicing at 4710 Penn Avenue, and that S&S Mechanical will provide quarterly reports with quantities for both Salute and Dante's.
In New Business, the board unanimously approved and enacted the permit for Tommy's Carwash (motion by Jon H. Gerhart, second by Jeff Pawling). The board also approved a sewer‑bill adjustment for the resident at 43 Maywood Avenue, granting relief for a water leak after a request from Clerk Kim Auman (motion by Mr. Gerhart, second by Kevin Eberhart).
The board ratified payments since Dec. 5, 2024 and authorized payment of bills dated Jan. 7 and Feb. 6, 2025. The Treasurer's Report was received and filed. The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
