Town approves vouchers; MACE inspection shuts three EconoLodge apartments after septic failure
Summary

At the July 10 meeting the Town of Alfred board approved multiple vouchers and heard a public-safety inspection report.
The board approved General A Fund vouchers #71–81 totaling $7,059.88; B Fund voucher $3,602.58; SF Fund voucher $3,799.75 (carried 5–0). Highway Abstract DA vouchers #96–100 totaling $3,223.84 and DB vouchers #16–22 totaling $128,677.94 were approved (carried 5–0). Solar Abstract #7 vouchers #6–8 totaling $10,781.80 were also approved (carried 5–0).
The MACE report reviewed an inspection at the EconoLodge that found the leach field had collapsed, prompting regulators to shut three apartments until a new septic system is installed. MACE coordinated with the Village of Alfred Police Department, the Allegany County Department of Health and Allegany County DSS on the action.
Highway Superintendent Bob Halsey reviewed municipal road work and noted changes in CHIPS regulations affecting how CHIPS funds may be used going forward. The board carried the financial approvals by recorded motions and votes.
