Following an executive session on Jan. 12 in which the board discussed pending litigation and the employment of a particular person, the Pelham Manor Board of Trustees approved a one-time merit payment of $18,000 to the Village Manager. Trustee Winstead abstained from that vote; the resolution passed by majority.
The meeting record shows the board also approved the Dec. 16, 2025 meeting minutes (after a minor administrative edit requested by Manager Luft), accepted Fire and DPW reports for December, and authorized payment of voucher numbers 34198–34305. The transcript notes the executive session took up litigation and personnel matters and that no formal action was taken while in executive session; the salary adjustment was adopted after the board returned to open session.
Chief Greco provided the Fire Department’s month-in-review, citing 86 calls in December, two small structure fires, a car fire, 34 training sessions (166 hours) and eight building inspections. Chief Greco said the department implemented a new U.S. Fire Administration–compliant reporting system effective Jan. 1. Manager Luft described DPW winter work, curbside leaf pickup totals (about 1,000 tons in December, roughly 80% recycled), sidewalk-plow deployment during two snowstorms and four street-light repairs.
The voucher resolution approving numbers 34198–34305 passed by voice vote as recorded in the minutes. The meeting adjourned with no further action.
