The board voted 5-0 to close the hearing at 7:10 p.m.; the motion to close was made by Jesse Szalc and seconded by Matthew Snyder. The town will refer the draft law to the County Planning Board for review and the public comment period will remain open until the July meeting.
The change would update the town's administrative procedures to reflect the state's revised code and energy standards, according to MacCrea. No final adoption vote was recorded at the June meeting; the board instructed staff to circulate the draft to the county and to continue accepting public comments until the next meeting.
The town did not record any formal objections during the hearing. The next procedural steps are referral to the County Planning Board and a possible final vote at the July meeting once staff and the town attorney complete their review.
