Residents press trustees on Phase 2, administrator vacancy and stalled solar farm

At the June 25 meeting, a resident identified as Ms. Williams used the public-comment period to press trustees on several outstanding issues. "What’s Phase 2 about and can it be viewed online? We don't have an administrator and are we saving that salary? What is happening with the solar farm, what is the holdup?" she asked.
Trustees responded with committee and event updates but did not provide detailed answers to all questions during public session. Trustee Tiffany S. Robinson said recent committee work included a June 20 meeting on licensing and ordinance topics such as BYOB establishments and short-term rentals (Airbnb), with ordinances forthcoming and revisions to the police/fire commission planned. Trustee Robinson encouraged residents to consult online postings and provided her email for follow-up.
Trustee Michael Collier Sr. promoted a July 6 back-to-school meeting seeking volunteers, vendors and sponsors and noted a June 29 fundraiser and the return of the rodeo. Trustee Gregory N. Jackson reported that the appropriation budget is nearly complete and will be posted by the clerk.
The board later convened into closed session under exceptions for pending or probable litigation, real-estate sale/lease, and personnel (hiring/discipline), after which the meeting adjourned at 9:49 p.m.
