One specific condition requires Verizon to provide a Decommissioning Bond in the amount of $80,000 in a form acceptable to the Town Attorney. The board also conditioned approval on no surface water leaving the tower site after construction; if drainage problems occur, the Town’s Zoning Enforcement Officer may require Verizon to correct them.
The board instructed the applicant to supply the Planning Board with the relevant sections of the tower agreement that document granting of access for construction and long‑term operation and maintenance by Verizon. The board noted other items to be addressed before a building permit is issued, including confirmation that the snowmobile trail cited in the NYS Department of Transportation 239‑m comments lies outside the 82‑foot fall zone, installation of privacy slats in the chain‑link fencing, and that boundary staking be completed by a NYS licensed land surveyor.
The board closed the public hearing and carried the motion to close and then to approve the application with the listed conditions. No public comments were recorded in the minutes during the hearing.
