Carlisle announces three fire-lieutenant promotions; JEMS station near occupancy pending generator delivery

City Manager Chris Lohr said Carlisle has completed promotion processes for three individuals who will be elevated to Fire Lieutenant: Dustin Perry, Corey Davis and James Whitney. Lohr said he will coordinate a swearing-in ceremony with the chief, expected in July.
Council member William Bicknell separately updated council on the new JEMS facility: the building has temporary occupancy and some items have already been moved in, but final pieces remain. "Parts for the generator were shipped out to be delivered this week. As of right now, the generator is still two to three weeks out, which is the only piece they are waiting for to have full occupancy," Bicknell said. He said telephone extensions are being installed and once the generator arrives the city hopes to set a grand opening date.
Lohr also reported the city made a conditional offer to a police candidate who is a certified federal law enforcement officer; the candidate must pass Ohio's OPOTA state certification test before being hired and sworn in, at which point the department would be fully staffed.
The council did not take formal votes related to personnel at the June 25 meeting; the announcements were informational updates in the City Manager's report.
The next council meeting is scheduled for July 9, when council may acknowledge promotions or act on other agenda items.
