The Village of Rothschild on Oct. 14 approved a development agreement with 4 Season’s Golf of Wausau, LLC for an indoor/outdoor golf facility that staff said would provide economic benefits to the Cedar Creek area.
Village Administrator Ryan VanDeWalle presented the draft agreement and a proforma analysis, calling out proposed financial incentives including a $300,000 revolving loan and a $60,000 upfront grant. VanDeWalle described expected economic impacts for the village and explained the proforma to the board.
Trustee Bill Schremp moved to approve the agreement; Trustee Rex Zemke seconded and the motion carried 7–0.
The approved agreement commits the village to the terms presented; staff indicated standard follow‑up steps for executing the developer agreement. No additional public fiscal offsets or other grants were specified in the minutes.
