Brancati also identified the need to replace a culvert and bridge and to raise part of the adjacent road to address flooding; he described the culvert and road work as separate funding projects that will likely be completed along with the streambed work.
Brancati gave a project timeline: culvert and road work targeted to start in Fall 2025, with streambed stabilization and plantings in Spring 2026, subject to securing funds and completing a bidding process. During open discussion Chairperson Erin Heaton asked whether state representative Chris Burdick might reallocate funds to the streambed project; Brancati said the budget and paperwork for that project have already been submitted.
