Councilmember Richard Root moved to ratify the indigent grant contract between Price City and the Indigent Defense Council as part of the local managing defender and indigent defense system; Councilmember Layne Miller seconded and the motion carried with recorded votes: Miller (aye), Richardson (aye), Root (aye), Urbanik (aye); Councilmember Russell Seeley abstained due to a stated conflict of interest.
Mayor Terry Willis presented the tentative FY2027 budget for council review; the presentation was informational and did not include final appropriations. Other agenda highlights included several community recognitions: Chief Brandon Sicilia recognized Sgt. Kelly Maynes as the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Utah Coordinator of the Year; Utah Foster Care representative Kobi Prettyman recognized Layne and Karen Miller for 26 years of foster care service; and Price City Event Coordinator Megan Marshall presented certificates to local businesses that supported the 2026 Renaissance Festival.
Jason Olsen, Kassidy Hansen and Steve Hardman provided a quarterly update on Price City Library services and promoted the Libby app for digital patrons. During public comment, resident Joyce Worley (spokesperson for Fausett Lane) urged the city to address damaged and narrowed roadway sections and potholes; resident Crystal Stubbs raised concerns about a business license for Maid 4 You.
