The ordinance authorizes placarding the building with the legend: "This building is unfit for human habitation: the use or occupation of this building for human habitation is prohibited and unlawful." It further provides that the cost of removal will be a lien on the real property, allows sale of salvaged materials to offset costs, and instructs the Housing Inspector to certify remaining balances to the Tax Collector for collection if necessary.
Alderman Cearley moved to approve the ordinance; Alderman Withers seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
