Building commissioner: Pacini site eyed for grocery conversion; Culichi Town project delayed over flood-plain redesign and $350,000 overrun

Separately, Mayor Beniamino Mazzulla updated the board on the "Duranguito" lot project, now owned by Culichi Town. He said the site is on a flood plain and must be re-designed to include a 2-foot-8-inch base flood elevation (BFE). The mayor said the project is approximately $350,000 over budget and is delayed; he warned that if the project is not in the ground by the end of November the owner will be required to clean the lot of high weeds and garbage to avoid citation.
