Jericho committee updates signage, racks and administrative items; membership decision moved to April

At its March 9 meeting, the Jericho Bicycle Pedestrian Connectivity Committee recorded several operational updates, offered a timeline for crosswalk painting, and postponed action on a new member application.
Members reported that Vantage Press shipped a QR-code decal for the Greenspoke bike repair station; the decal will be installed when temperatures are suitable. Kevin said he will count how many trail signs the committee needs for the Jericho Town Forests to inform ordering and installation planning.
The committee agreed to present a crosswalk identification list to the Select Board so the Jericho Highway Department can paint marked crosswalks in summer 2026. Jack Evans of Local Motion said the organization offered several bike racks for town use; the racks will need concrete anchors and the committee will propose locations.
Under new business, discussion of a motion to accept Forrest MacDonald as a new committee member was moved to the April meeting; no vote was recorded. Members also discussed attending the Vermont Bike/Walk Summit on May 8, with Kevin assigned to verify likely costs including mileage and any attendance fee. The committee noted that comments for the 105 Bolger Hill Rd minor subdivision final hearing must be submitted five days before the March 25 meeting (by March 20).
The meeting formally adjourned at 8:17 p.m. after a motion by Cody and a second from Neils.
