Wetlands agent reports routine maintenance, pending enforcement item and regulations update

Wetlands Agent Alyssa Barroso told the commission the past month had been quiet and that ongoing projects at 148 Brandy, 212 Bolton Center and 72 Brandy are progressing satisfactorily. She reported debris that had blocked a ditch on Shady Lane was removed and water is again moving, and that grass clippings blocking a drainage easement were cleared.
Barroso said shrubs will be planted at 65 Shoddy Mill in September and that she will follow up with the owner of 1 Notch Road about an extended lack of activity. Regarding enforcement, Barroso said she is still waiting for a delineation report for the Cease & Correct at 37 Notch Road (Alexey Ouzonov & tenant); Chair Ross Lally suggested asking the Town Administrator or Town Attorney to request the report.
Barroso also said proposed updates to the town’s wetlands regulations are ready but await placement on the Selectmen’s agenda; she circulated a draft wetlands brochure that will be printed after minor revisions.
What’s next: Barroso will follow up with property owners and town staff on the pending delineation report; the commission will review revised materials and await Selectmen action on regulation updates.
