Bolton wetlands agent reports several permit updates; commission elects Ross Lally chair and Michael McDonnell vice chair

At the July 22 Bolton Inland Wetlands Commission meeting, Wetlands Agent Alyssa Barroso gave a brief report on recent permit activity and administrative work, and the commission held officer elections.
Barroso said she issued letters to property owners about drainage issues raised by neighbors. She reported the project at 180 Bolton Center Road is 100% stabilized and its permit closed; 65 Shoddy Mill is stabilizing with supplemental plantings planned for fall; work at 148 Brandy Street is ongoing; and 25 Vernon Road is listed for sale as a permitted lot, so new work is unlikely in the near term. Barroso said she has created a database of active permits to include in future packets.
On governance, Vice Chair James Loersch moved to elect Ross Lally as chairman and Michael McDonnell as vice chair; Member David Lynn seconded and the motion carried unanimously, 5–0–0. The meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m. after a motion by D. Lynn and second by M. McDonnell, carried 5–0–0.
The commission also noted it has not yet placed proposed wetlands regulation and fee updates on the Board of Selectmen agenda because the Selectmen are still finalizing a budget, and discussed asking Selectmen and the Conservation Commission to review changes via email in the interim.
