Ronald Bisson asked the Bolton Inland Wetlands Commission for permission to cut and remove select trees, stumps and shrubs along the waterline at 139 Vernon Road to create a view corridor.
Bisson said the work would affect an area approximately 50 feet wide by 150 feet long and that most trees proposed for removal sit about 10 to 15 feet from the water; he said trees to be removed will be tagged. Bisson indicated he will use silt fence or staked straw bales/swaddles for erosion control and anticipates beginning work in November when lake levels are lower.
Commission members requested a more detailed, delineated map showing which large trees will remain and which will be removed and asked that the applicant show the precise locations of the proposed silt fence and other erosion controls. Wetlands Agent Alyssa Barroso will work with the applicant to provide the requested materials for a future meeting.
