The Saline County Board awarded a used dump truck to RDO Truck Center and approved county claims during its July 22 meeting.
After closing bidding at 11:00 a.m., the board opened bids from Cornhusker International and RDO Truck Center. Commissioner Russ Karpisek moved to award the used dump truck bid to RDO Truck Center; Commissioner Brian Pribyl seconded and the motion passed on recorded ayes from all commissioners.
County Treasurer Deb Spanyers presented the semi-annual statement and listed account balances and certificates of deposit as of June 30, 2025. The board moved to accept the Treasurer’s Semi-Annual Statement for the period ending June 30, 2025; that motion carried with recorded ayes.
The board then moved to approve the claims as presented (motion by Brian Pribyl, seconded by Russ Karpisek). The minutes include a detailed listing of vendors, contracts, payroll and reimbursements that the clerk entered into the record.
Also during the meeting Scott Davis of Veteran’s Services presented William Herndon with a plaque recognizing him as Veteran of the Month; that presentation was recorded but required no board action.
The decisions on procurement and claims were recorded by roll-call vote in the official minutes.
