Saline County commissioners approve fund transfers and a small budget restriction increase

The Saline County Board of Commissioners on July 22 approved several budget adjustments and transfers as part of routine fiscal business.
Brian Pribyl, a county commissioner, moved to adopt Resolution #2025-56 to transfer $20,000 from the Inheritance Fund to the Road & Bridge Fund; Ray Rohrig seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The board also approved Resolution #2025-057 to transfer $2,000 from the Inheritance Fund to the Grant Fund, to be reimbursed when funds are available, and Resolution #2025-058 to transfer $994.50 to the Juvenile Services Aid Program Fund; both motions were moved by Pribyl and carried by recorded aye votes.
Separately, the board approved a 1% increase in the restricted funds limitation for the 2025–2026 budget year. Commissioner Russ Karpisek moved the increase, Ray Rohrig seconded, and the motion passed on recorded ayes from all commissioners.
Action on the adjusted urban area boundary for Saline County was tabled until the next regular meeting; the minutes record only that the item was postponed, not the reasons for tabling or any staff recommendations.
The board’s approvals were routine fiscal measures recorded in the official minutes and accompanied by roll-call aye votes. The board meets next on Aug. 5, 2025.
