Mario, presenting for engineering staff, described the project and the requested contract amendments. Amendment No. 4 with Mark Thomas for additional design support during construction was presented at $198,876. A second amendment with Ty Linn International for additional construction management and inspection support was presented at $370,000. "We recommend a city council approve amendment number four with Mark Thomas in the amount of 198,876 ... and approve amendment number four to Ty Linn International in the amount of 370,000," Mario said.
Council members expressed support for the project, noting the bridge widening completed in Phase 1 and the anticipated benefits for traffic flow. The council moved the item and recorded a roll‑call vote with all members present voting in favor.
What’s next: Staff will execute the amendments in forms approved by the city attorney and proceed with Phase 2 work under the amended contracts; no opposition was recorded on the transcript.
