The board recognized the Rock Hills FBLA chapter and heard a summary from Mr. Gower on the group's activities and achievements this year.
Mr. Gower reported membership increased from 32 to 38 members, highlighted community-service and fundraising activities, and said 29 members placed in district top 10s and 11 placed in state top-10 competitions. Two students received statewide quality member awards. Fundraising efforts included a Texas Roadhouse night that netted about $1,600; the chapter expects to take up to six students to nationals in late June.
The board applauded the chapter’s work and noted an awards banquet with a silent auction scheduled for May 4 to support national competition travel and next-year chapter needs.
