Trustees asked staff to research vendor options such as ParentSquare and PowerSchool-integrated messaging, to clarify enforcement and recordkeeping, and to bring formal policy language to the board for adoption well before the state’s September 1 submission deadline. The board treated the draft language as a first read and requested further detail on implementation, monitoring and parent/staff training.
