President Brandon Woody and other commissioners moved routine business along and the board entertained a motion to confirm the chief's recommendation. A board member moved to hire "Officer Brett Webb as sergeant, as recommended by Chief Bar," and another board member seconded the motion. The chair called for "all in favor" and announced the appointment was approved; the transcript records no roll-call tally or named vote counts.
Members clarified the new sergeant will not receive a salary increase until Sergeant Shane Isac formally leaves the post; the board identified April 3 as the first pay period that would reflect any change. During the meeting the board also postponed approval of past meeting minutes to the next meeting because members were unable to review them due to technical difficulties.
