The town planning board on an administrative agenda considered a proposal to adjust property lines at Harrington Farms so that a driveway remains on Ken Harrington's parcel and to create a new 2.7-acre lot around Jason's house and shop.
The presenter said the proposal would leave both resulting parcels with at least 25 feet of road frontage on Harrington Lane and that he will revise the survey map to show Harrington Lane as a "town road by use," correcting what he said is an incorrect county map. "We thought it would be prudent to extend that drawing till it comes to the mother's farmhouse and label that as town road by use," the presenter said. The presenter also said an old access easement shown on the plan is no longer needed and will be removed in the deed description.
Board members and the presenter discussed on-site utilities and access: each house would retain its separate septic system (the presenter located Jason's system behind his house and Ken's behind a shed), and a small easement will remain to accommodate a shared portion of driveway alignment where property lines meet. The presenter said the survey crew shot the centerline of an on-site stream "as it was the day of the survey" and used tie points to anchor the description so future channel shifts would update the legal description.
The presenter acknowledged a data check is needed for adjoining parcels and said he would amend the map to show the road and deed changes before filing. No formal vote or action was recorded in the transcript; the board did not indicate a final decision at the meeting and the item will return for follow-up once the map and deed descriptions are revised.
