Trustee Horn reported to the Board of Trustees at the April 23 meeting that a sprinkler pipe at Village Hall burst over the weekend, temporarily disrupting normal business operations and public access to the building. He said repairs were underway and that regular office hours would resume that day.
Horn also provided project updates: the new DPW facility garage floor and aprons are complete, low-voltage wiring and ceiling grid installation are in progress, and cabinets are being delivered. The 2025 sidewalk-improvement plan includes work on Margaret Street and Mill Street; branch pickup will occur the first and third Monday of each month, and hydrant flushing is scheduled to begin April 28, weather permitting.
Horn asked residents not to approach chipping equipment during branch pickup for safety and said signage will mark hydrant flushing areas 24 hours in advance. The announcements were informational; no formal action was taken.
