On transportation, staff said a tariff added $2,500 to a Thomas 44-passenger bus, raising the purchase price to about $184,000; the manufacturer requested a revised purchase agreement to reflect the higher price as the vehicle enters production. The board discussed procurement timing and signatory steps; staff said production was beginning and expected no further immediate price increases.
Board members also reviewed bids to refresh the roundabout landscaping, with a lower-cost rock refresh option near $20,000 and a higher-cost turf option that would require donations. Members said the landscaping was a lower priority than the roof replacement and budget decisions will determine whether the work moves forward this year.
