Commissioners release bond funds for gravel, agree to Eagle Lake treatment work

Seth, an agency official who presented the request, told commissioners two line items on the capital-improvements bond supported the requests: a $3,000 allocation for gravel and $2,000 for Eagle Lake water treatment. Seth said the gravel money would "just be a small dent" in needed maintenance and explained the water treatment estimate: "based off the number of treatments for last year... it'd be right around $5,730 just this year for the Eagle Lake treatment."
Commissioners noted the worksheet on the dais lists $2,000 for gravel rather than $3,000; after clarifying the line-item amounts a motion was made and seconded to release funds for the two projects and was carried.
Seth said he would use the funds promptly for small parking-lot repairs and to contract water-treatment services through the water-control vendor in Seymour. If additional money remains, he said he would apply it toward further treatments.
