The Dilworth Planning Commission voted to forward a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance on outdoor storage to the City Council. Community development director Don Lorson summarized edits made since the commission’s prior review, saying staff had removed language in section 2C regarding trailer counting and added the R3 residential (limited multifamily) district to the ordinance so that administration and enforcement align across districts.
Lorson told the commission the changes were intended to “clarify the existing language in the ordinance, improve administration of the requirements, and ensure greater conformity with the off‑street parking requirements.” The commission moved, seconded and approved forwarding the ordinance amendment to Council for adoption. The packet included final edits; staff and commissioners clarified the correct title/section numbers for the ordinance before the motion.
