The Rindge select board completed a series of routine municipal actions alongside the extended revaluation discussion.
The board accepted the lowest furnace bid for the highway garage at $12,500 and approved a one-year renewal for the building-department software rather than a three-year lock-in. The board also awarded a sand procurement contract to CNC Trucking at the price read into the record and approved two special-event permits: a late Franklin Pierce football game and the Ridge Memorial School harvest parade on Oct. 31.
In land-use business the board approved negotiated settlements and current-use releases on multiple parcels. The board recorded that one group of batched lots will result in $45,000 in municipal receipts (10% of the batched value) and discussed a larger development package with an assessed value discussed as $550,000; motions to accept the negotiated amounts and sign related documents carried on unanimous voice votes.
All routine procurement and settlement motions were passed by recorded voice vote as unanimous where tallies were read (noted in minutes as "three-zero"). Several informational items were also reported: ongoing cemetery tree-removal work, and a personnel update on fire-chief candidate interviews scheduled for Nov. 10.
The boards approvals allow municipal operations and contracted services to proceed; no contested votes were recorded on these agenda items.
