Georgetown council re-elects Kelly Campbell as president; approves ODOT mowing agreement and Lewis Township fire contract

Council member Campbell read the resolution title and Travis explained the measure is an annual agreement that allows ODOT to provide supplemental mowing on state highways that pass through the village. The resolution passed following a roll call.
Council also approved an annual intergovernmental agreement allowing the village to provide fire and emergency medical services to Lewis Township in return for a fee (resolution 1434). Council members discussed negotiations to ensure the village is compensated fairly for equipment and personnel used under township contracts and voted in favor.
Administratively, the council adopted the villagewide yard-sale dates for 2026; the council noted a $5 permit fee for yard sales.
The meeting used roll-call votes for these items; the clerk announced affirmative votes during each tally. The council then moved on to other agenda items and scheduled additional ordinance work for a future meeting.
