Pequannock historical society opens Jay Waznik Research Room, plans December fundraiser

Paul (chair of the historical society) and Martin Williams described a roughly 25‑person dedication event and said the collection focuses on local and regional history.
The society said it will hold a fundraising open house on Dec. 13–14 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., with tours and self‑guided visits available, decorations by Bill's Florist, and donated refreshments. "We're hoping that's going to bring in some people from the township and the community," a society representative said, inviting council members and residents to attend. The group also said it plans to offer certain rooms for meetings and rentals to local organizations and has begun working with an architect on a landscape plan that will support a future county grant application for construction work.
Council members thanked the volunteers for their work and encouraged the society to reach out to commissions that might use the Berry House for special meetings.
