Finance staff walked council through the September and October financials and a line‑item portal demonstration (Cassel Connect) that allows click‑through to vendor invoices and payment details. Staff also presented a two‑year summary of legal spending and said the city spent roughly $370,000 on legal services over the past two years. Council discussed timing for grant and property‑tax revenues and confirmed that the street fund contingency is currently allocated per prior council decisions.
