County staff presented and the board approved a series of IT and infrastructure items that the county said were budgeted and necessary for courtrooms, assessment operations and 911 reliability.
Assessor Michael Castelon requested an administrative contract update to reflect a company name change to Singular X for the Value Indiana property valuation platform; commissioners asked for a signed agreement and approved the change.
IT Director Richard Warfield described a failing courtroom annotation system used in superior courtrooms; replacement was budgeted and approved. St. Joseph County 911 staff sought and received approval for a Verdive UPS annual maintenance agreement for primary and backup centers to ensure UPS systems can hold loads while generators start. Staff also won approval for WebEx calling integration and Network Solutions SmartNet and Cisco Intersight renewals to maintain network support and cloud monitoring; staff said vendor credits and longstanding vendor relationships help contain costs.
The board approved these items by recorded voice votes of Commissioners Morton, Hayen and Baxter.
