Waverly mayor proclaims Women in Construction Week and Problem Gambling Awareness Month

The proclamation cited the Greater Omaha chapter’s 61 years of local work in professional advancement, outreach and community development.
Pasco also read a proclamation designating March 2026 as Problem Gambling Awareness Month, citing the National Council on Problem Gambling and the Nebraska Council on Problem Gambling and encouraging residents to participate in awareness and treatment efforts. "Problem gambling is a public health issue affecting millions," she said while urging support for public education and treatment programs.
Both proclamations are symbolic recognitions used by the city to highlight community partners and public-awareness efforts; no ordinance or funding change accompanied the proclamations. The proclamations referenced the National Association of Women in Construction (Greater Omaha Chapter No. 116) and the National and Nebraska Councils on Problem Gambling.
