Council members described the easement as a minor, corrective conveyance intended to finish paperwork and fulfill an agreement reached years earlier. “It’s very small just to clean this up,” a council member said, characterizing the parcel as roughly “10x5.”
The ordinance text identifies the city as the record owner of the parcel described by county deed references and names RGMZ Buttermilk Town Center OP1 HO LLC and John Spilly LLC as the other parties to the easement. Officials said the move resolves an incomplete set of documents tied to a long-term bond agreement on the property.
The measure passed on a roll-call vote; the clerk recorded six affirmative votes and no dissent. Council indicated no further action is required beyond execution of the conveyance documents by the mayor.
The council took the vote during its regular meeting after completing roll call and routine reports. No amendments or conditions were recorded in the adopted motion, and staff did not list a separate implementation schedule at the meeting.
