The board discussed logistics and limits: the pickup would be curbside only (no driveway backing or entry into garages), electronics, paint, hazardous materials, whole vehicles and items presenting a safety hazard would be excluded, and tires are accepted. Members said mattresses could be accepted if two people can safely lift them. The presenter said the township would receive a list of registered addresses and crews would map routes and move on if items were not out.
Members favored seeking local contractors for related services and suggested collecting price quotes; several also said the township should offer limited training to reduce injury risk for crews. The presenter emphasized the review was preliminary and that the item will be scheduled for a future meeting for formal consideration and possible vote.
The workshop did not authorize expenditure; board members framed the discussion as initial fact‑finding and logistical planning. The item will return to a formal meeting with any cost and contract details for board action.
