Board approves preliminary plan for 301 East Johnson Highway gas station redevelopment

The East Norriton Board of Supervisors approved Resolution 2933, granting preliminary land development approval for a proposal at 301 East Johnson Highway to reconfigure the fueling area and convert part of the station building into a convenience store.
Township Engineer Krista Heinrich told the board the project at the intersection of Old Arch and East Johnson Highway would reconfigure the pumps to a total of three fueling positions and convert part of the existing service station into a convenience store. Heinrich said the Planning Commission reviewed the application on Jan. 23 and recommended granting the requested waivers and approving the preliminary plans.
The applicants or their consultants were present and available to answer questions; none were raised at the meeting. The board moved, seconded and approved the preliminary plans and the associated waivers under Resolution 2933. A final plan will return to the board for formal approval at a future meeting.
