Zoning board approves three residential variances on consent calendar

The board voted to grant a variance for a proposed second‑story addition at 62 Lakeshore Drive, to allow an expansion and second‑story addition at 118 Syron Eye Boulevard, and to permit a front addition at 23 Dogwood Drive. The motions were made by the chair, seconded, and approved by voice vote of the four‑member board.
Each approval was made “for the reasons explained in the resolution prepared for the meeting and subject to the conditions listed in the resolution,” the chair said when moving each item. Board members Mr. Cahalen, Mr. Miller and Mr. Conway indicated their assent on each vote.
No members of the public spoke on any of the three resolution items, and the board did not open extended discussion on those applications. The approvals were listed among the resolutions available on the table in the back of the meeting room.
