Board members asked how instruction is delivered at the elementary level, whether the purchase would be a one-year subscription or multi-year license, and whether Title 4 funds could continue to cover ongoing costs. Staff said they preferred a one-year subscription approach and that continuance would depend on Title 4 eligibility and district budgeting; they also confirmed elementary health instruction is delivered by nurses, PE teachers and classroom teachers with counselor involvement in some topics.
The board did not take immediate action and requested the item be brought back at the next meeting for an action vote, with additional clarity on costs and renewal assumptions.
