The Foxboro School Committee took several formal actions on May 27. All motions below passed by voice vote as recorded during the meeting.
• French textbook (grades 9–12): Motion to purchase a French textbook at a cost of $20,000 — approved (voice vote).
• Policy subcommittee second reads: Motions to waive second reading and approve superintendent-evaluation file CBI; administrative reports file CL (with a wording change from "will" to "may"); grants/proposals file DD (minor edit); and community-use file KF — all approved by voice vote.
• Budget transfer: Motion to transfer $55,600 from the private-tuition account to the natural-gas account to cover higher heating costs — approved by voice vote.
• Retreat date: Motion to hold a district retreat July 20 with an executive session beginning at 5:00 p.m. and public work to follow at 5:30 p.m. — approved.
Committee members confirmed the book purchase and budget transfer are effective immediately for district planning. Several policy changes were editorial or organizational; staff will post revised policy texts and implementation details as appropriate.
