Staff noted the $140,000 figure is a conservative projection of TOT receipts; the program will be reviewed after one year so the council may adjust allocations based on actual revenue performance. Chamber leaders presented their recent marketing results and urged continued funding, arguing the program brings visitors and supports business recovery.
Council approved the one-year program and emphasized audit and reporting requirements for recipients.
