Bond oversight committee says projects are on time and on budget

The Bond Accountability Committee presented its annual report to the Beaverton School District board on May 12, saying bond projects are being delivered on time, on budget and meeting stated objectives. Committee chair Keith Hobson commended the district’s project management and cited contingency reallocations used to supplement project scope, bolster seismic upgrades and address deferred maintenance.
Hobson said over 60% of the bond program has been expended and about 20% is under contract, signaling the program is in its final stages with many major projects completed or nearing completion. He and staff highlighted lessons learned from large projects (Beaverton High and Raleigh Hills Elementary) and recommended the board and staff continue to monitor contingency reserves as the program closes out.
What’s next: Committee members said they remain available to answer questions and will continue routine oversight as projects are completed.
